painting on TYVEK? as in, the stuff they make fedex envelopes out of? as in, the siding they put on houses? brilliant.
That’s right. When it was installed at Burlington Garden’s, round the back of the RA in London, it did look amazing. It was wrapped around the wall and so surrounded the viewer on 3 sides.
The way it is painted makes it look like you are below the action, as if everything else has lost it’s gravity but you are firmly planted on the ground. It is incredibly effective. Check out the link as it outlines the technique and shows some other examples. His Ice Wasteland piece is good too.
